6 Days 5 Nights Itinerary in Amsterdam and Belgium - Neuhaus

neuhas-icecream

Belgium has a variety of Chocolate brands; Neuhaus is one of the top Chocolate brands. It has a history of more than 150 years.

Fun Fact

Neuhaus is the inventor of the Praline. The original Neuhaus store first opened in 1857 and it is located at the Galeries Royale Saint-Hubert in central Brussels.

There are many branches of Neuhaus in Brussels. I happened to pop by one of the stores that sold ice-cream. You can choose the ice-cream flavours, the dipping and the toppings that you want.  If I recalled correctly, the shop offered dark chocolate, milk chocolate and vanilla ice-cream, chocolate or vanilla dips and a few different types of toppings like chocolate crunch, peanuts and raspberry.

I decided to go all out and ordered the dark chocolate ice-cream, coated with chocolate and chocolate crunch. It was delicious; easily, one of the best ice-cream I ever had. The dark chocolate is creamy, a little bitter and not too sweet. The crunch added an extra texture to the ice-cream. Personally, I think the ice-cream was really delicious with or without the toppings.

The ice-cream costs 5 Euros. Was it worth it? Totally! It’s worth the calories too.

Would I order it again when I am in Belgium? Yes!

x, Esther
